Tour Description
If you love adventure, this is the perfect tour for you. Spending the night in Corcovado National Park—surrounded by rainforest and wildlife—and waking up to the sounds of birds creates a nature experience beyond your wildest dreams. Throughout the journey, you will be accompanied by a professional guide who will ensure you don’t miss a single detail.
A minimum of 2 participants is required for this tour; however, it is not private. If there are additional guests, the group may be combined, with a maximum of 8 people per guide.
If you prefer a private tour, an additional fee of $25 per person applies.
Day 1:
- Morning hike from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along the park trails
- Return to the station for lunch at 11:30 a.m.
- Rest time from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Afternoon hike from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Day 2:
- Early morning hike from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Breakfast at 6:45 a.m.
- Final hike from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Return to Drake Bay around 12:00 p.m., with arrival at approximately 1:30 p.m.
This schedule is suggested and can be adjusted with your guide according to your preferences.

What to Bring
- Passport (required)
- Water, reusable bottle (not plastic)
- Rain poncho
- Waterproof bag for electronics
- Sandals for the boat, either lace-up or water shoes
- Closed-toe shoes for hiking
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellent
- DO NOT bring food.
- Schedule: Departs at 6:00 a.m. and returns the following day at 1:30 p.m.
- Group size: 6–8 people. (Private tour available for an additional $25 per person)
- Difficulty: Moderate.

Wonderful stay at Jacamar. We were looked after by Dylan for the whole stay who was responsive and helped us organise our stay and excursions. Lovely room and great breakfast. Great location and loved seeing birds and monkeys from the Balcony, would recommend staying here!!!

July 4, 2025. Cómodo y bien atendido, aunque ruidoso de noche" Puntos positivos: Increíble logística de recogida en la playa. Habitación y baño muy espaciosos, limpieza impecable y una terraza perfecta para descansar. El trato en recepción fue excelente. Tip viajero: Cruzad a la cafetería de enfrente para desayunar. Calidad precio inmejorable y repostería artesana increíble. Mejorable: Si eres amante de las noches silenciosas, atento. La cercanía a los locales de ocio nocturno hace que se oiga bastante ruido durante la madrugada.

Fantastic and affordable place to stay in Drake Bay. Conveniently located in the town. Easy walk to the beach and central to all restaurants. Clean and spacious rooms, with AC and nice bathroom / shower. Recommend adding on the breakfast, it was delicious and $8 per (when we stayed), which is average.

May 2, 2025Wir haben hier 3 Nächte während unseres Urlaubes verbracht. Den Aufenthalt können wir absolut empfehlen. Super Service mit Abholung vom Boot und das Frühstück war auch absolut okay. Im Zimmer haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Klimatisiert, sauber und keine extrem veraltete Einrichtung. Wenn wir etwas zu kritisiere hätten dann nur, dass das Hotel an einer stark befahrenen Straße liegt und man auf jeden Fall Ohrstöpsel einpacken sollte. Mit denen hat man aber eine absolut erholsame Nacht.

November 29, 2025Wir haben hier 5 Nächte verbracht und es war wirklich toll! Unglaublich guter und freundlicher Service, besonders Jenny hat uns bei allem geholfen, uns vom Boot abgeholt und wieder hingebracht und war immer toll. Das Hotel selbst ist super schön, geräumig, top gelegen falls man viele Dinge machen möchte. Sauber, Klimaanlage und sehr leckeres (und bei Bedarf sehr frühes) Frühstück. Absolute Empfehlung!

We stayed in Hotel Jacamar for 3 nights and purchased a tour package through them. The tours were beautifully organized, the staff was kind and professional, and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and ready early so we could set off on early excursions. I highly recommend purchasing a hotel package with tours and breakfast. Our ferry ride into Drake Bay from Sierpe was beyond awful, so I would recommend traveling by road or plane (or maybe the earlier ferry as I’ve heard that is better?), but once we got here, it has been an absolutely perfect stay. 10/10 would recommend. The tours were truly excellent. I never felt unsafe on the tour boats despite very turbulent seas (apart from that initial ferry ride from hell to get to Drake Bay which was not Jacamar’s fault). The tour staff were exceptional. We saw so many animals in Corcovado and our guide Emmanuel worked really hard to make that happen. Despite unseasonably rough seas, we were able to see a number of fish, dolphins, and turtles on the snorkeling tour, thanks to the staff working really hard to find the best spots. My daughters especially loved the guide “Miss Elsa”. After the harrowing journey to get there, our experience in Drake Bay was truly a dream, and Hotel Jacamar made that happen for us.

April 14, 2025Un séjour agréable qui a commencé des l'arrivée en bateau ou nous avons été accueillis par Margot. Nous avons été remonté en 4x4 de la plage après l'arrivée en bateau. La chambre était spacieuse, lumineuse avec beaucoup de verdure. Possibilité d'un petit déjeuner très tôt avant les départ en excursion.

January 29, 2026The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery. The rooms are nice, clean, and have huge balconies. The beach is only a 10 minute walk. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Een hele fijne plek, royale kamer met eigen terras. Shuttlebus vanaf de boot naar het hotel, excursies voor het NP werden goed geregeld!

May 22, 2025Habitacion muy amplia y limpia. Nos recogieron a la llegado del barco y nos llevaron cuando nos fuimos. El desayuno por $8 muy completo (no es buffet, lo eliges tú el día de antes). Nos ayudaron con la reserva de la excursion al Parque de Corcovado y la guía fue buenísima!

A mi esposo y a mí nos encantó este hotel. La habitación es espaciosa, la cama comfortable, baño limpio y con buena presión de agua. Dan desayunos deliciosos y si hay que salir en un tour los dan bien tempranito. Todos los que nos atendieron son muy amables y además coordinan los toures de la zona. Sin duda volveríamos.
